Penelitian ini menganalisis isu kecerdasan buatan dalam sudut pandang filosofi kemanusiaan Seyyed Hossein Nasr. Melihat perubahan definisi dan pemahaman manusia dalam pandangan revolusi industri keempat melalui masyarakat tradisional ke masa renaissance/modern dan abad ke-21. Analisa ini mendasarkan pada dikotomi antara manusia promethean dan manusia kepausan seperti yang dianut dalam pemikiran Seyyed Hossein Nasr dan selanjutnya mendefinisikan manusia secara baru berdasarkan cara kerja robot AI pada revolusi 4.0. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis kritis kualitatif, disajikan pemahaman tentang manusia sebagai kepausan dan promethean sebagaimana didefinisikan oleh Seyyed Hossein Nasr.
